Directing the Lighting in The corridors of power :: Drama
Directing the Lighting in The corridors of powerWhen you are use discharge you must consider The distort of the dancers costumes. The mood of the dance. The direction from which the get away shines. The intensity and likeness of the light. Effects - such as templates of the shapes the light.I say The corridors of power dance to have an eerie scary mood.So I would front dark, dull motionless colour. The costumes would bea loss colour, so they rear end stand out from the dark, dull motionlesscolour of the light and as well there is a saying that is said when youare scared and angry, Im comprehend red so the red could representscariness and anger.I think the light should infer from below the dancers to create shadowsthat imparting make them taller and more powerful. There result also be sideview lights to create eerie shadows and it volition also enhance themovement and flexibility of the dancers. There go forth be sevensome dancers.I forget have the backdrop totally white, so the shadows will be clearwith sharp edges when they are against the wall. I will also have sidedrops on either side of the stage, to flow a closed-in, trapped feel, like a corridor. The colour of the light will be grey-ish colour. I also think thereshould be battens of light coming from above to represent power. Ithink there will be seven red laser lights following the movement ofthe seven dancers in their red costumes. There may also be colourchanges of the light and music changes to change the mood of thedance. There would be a good effect if the light went a midnight-bluecolour because then the colour of the dancers costume will disappear,it will look very weird which will puzzle the audience. The intensity of the light will be sharp and explosive throughout thedance. In the start of the dance the scene will piecemeal becomevisible and the dancers will appear as silhouettes against a red flood
